San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company (SFBATCO) is a Black, Latin, & Asian led non-profit organization supporting artists producing compelling theater that builds community, fosters cross-cultural dialogue, and promotes social justice by authentically reflecting the experiences of communities of color and LGBTQIA+ people.
The 2021 New Roots Theatre Festival was a two-day theatrical experience that represented the global community in the Bay Area and celebrated performance works dedicated to the stories of marginalized identities. As part of their growing presence SFBATCO decided to embark on a brand redesign for the festival. Tasked with creating a logo that was reflective of its parent brand, I fashioned a mark still independent and distinctive. Showcasing illustrations paired with a calligraphic font, I implemented a fresh perspective that pushed forward an organic “grown-from-the-roots” narrative.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2020
Interactive Design
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals has created a circuit-wide civic education initiative, “Justice For All: Courts and the Community”, at the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse in Downtown Manhattan, NY. The Learning Center is an interactive exhibit for the public to increase understanding of the role and operations of the courts and bring courts closer to the community.
Black History Month 2020 was a kiosk experience designed to highlight the prominent African American judges of the 2nd Circuit Court’s history. Leading the art direction for this project, I designed the experience with custom illustrations, templates, and post-production editing; with focus on creating a system that offers a great experience using the Intuiface software.

INDIE MEME FILM FESTIVAL 2021
Interactive & Vector Design
Indie Meme Film Festival entertains and engages the community by showcasing powerful stories from South Asia with different perspectives through the lens and provide a platform for post screening audience and filmmaker discussions.
From going virtual within a month of the scheduled in-person festival in 2020, the Indie Meme Film Festival of 2021 moved to an exciting new interactive customized platform and virtual festival experience. I designed and illustrated the virtual festival map and Q&A waiting room for the audience and filmmaker discussion segment of the event. Creating 3D perspective illustrations allowed for visitors to be transported into an altered reality to facilitate new conversations during the height of the pandemic.

“The Girl Who Soared” is a kiosk exhibit showcasing the life of Justice Sonia Sotomayor, from childhood to her road to success as the first Latina to sit on the highest court. As lead designer I oversaw the art direction and full execution of this experience. I created all displayed artwork, curated and assembled all relevant materials, and post-production editing; while maintaining a focus on building a system that offers a great experience using the Intuiface software.

The Learning Center, at the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, is an interactive exhibit for the public to increase understanding of the role and operations of the courts and bring courts closer to the community.
Receiving national recognition, I helped to launch the "Justice for All: Courts and the Community" Learning Center by creating rotating art gallery exhibits, and providing all architectural sketches for interior designs. I produced the artwork that dresses the hallways leading visitors to the Learning Center; these large-scale posters illustrate the three branches of government and showcase fun facts specific to the judiciary, with the goal and purpose being to provoke meaningful conversations and further educate the public and youth who come to visit the courthouse.

9/11 20th ANIIVERSARY TRIBUTE
Short Film
2021 marked the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history. The 2nd Circuit Court Appeals being a mere few blocks away from The World Trade Center had a front row seat to the devastation. With archived interviews from 2001 of judges and court staff, this short film serves as a tribute and reflection piece of the impact the judiciary also felt that day of September 11th, 2001.

AFROTWIN PRODUCTIONS
Brand Redesign & Animation
AfroTwin Productions LLC was founded in 2017 producing award winning and international accreditating works diversifying media and telling stories of under-represented groups such as black, indigenous and people of color.
AfroTwin Productions decided to embark on a brand redesign. They felt a revitalized brand could reset the foundation for a bright, new chapter in their own story. I redesigned and illustrated their logo as well as created an opening animation sequence for the created illustration.
GRIT Tutoring Academy is a startup one-on-one educational solution for students ranging from grades K-12. THE TASH MASHUP
Brand & Web Design
The TashMashup is a cross-culture culinary blog remixing flavors of Indian comfort food. Using inspiration from South Asian cuisine and spices I designed the logo that invokes the name of the brand; a splash of flavors colliding together. Following, I was tasked with building and designing the website. Keeping with the brand, my objective was to emulate the “remixing of flavors” into the aesthetic of the website. Achieved by implementing an old school approach of polaroid pictures paired with custom illustrations in a traditionally south asian color palette rich with vibrancy.

SILIKI LOUNGEWEAR
Brand & Web Design
Siliki Loungewear is an affordable luxury clothing brand that promotes confidence and beauty without limitations. I created the logo and built an online e-commerce platform. Keeping in line with the identity of the brand, I designed a minimal and sleek logo that tips its hat to the feeling of luxury which was followed by the “Siliki Loungewear” website. Allowing the imagery to be the pop of color, the modern web design and gives appropriate space for the products to resonate.
BEAR is an independent film by filmmaker and director Giovanni Alfonzetti. My responsibilities were to design the three movie posters for the film.

PEN TO PAPER
Drawing / Painting
Along with being a graphic designer I thoroughly enjoy getting back to the basics of putting pen to paper. Returning to a simple place void of technology and outside noise it allows me to further harness my creativity which lends itself to my design process. These drawings and paintings have been displayed in various art spaces such as Bento On Hudson, Mason Gross Galleries, and virtual exhibitions.
